## What we're asked most often

### Can a wrought-iron planter be placed on a balcony without an overload risk?

There's no single national threshold: the load your balcony can take depends on your building and, in a co-owned building, on the building rules — worth checking with the building manager for a large format if in doubt. To lighten the whole thing, a layer of expanded clay pebbles at the bottom of the box reduces total weight without harming drainage.

### What's the difference between a standard and a made-to-measure planter?

Standard sizes follow catalogue dimensions (fixed width, depth and height, price shown immediately); made-to-measure is drawn to the exact dimensions of your windowsill, balcony or terrace — useful for an unusual space or for aligning several boxes precisely.

### Does the planter resist rust outdoors all year round?

The wrought-iron structure gets a finish (most often matte black epoxy paint) that protects it from the weather; it's the inner liner (zinc, stainless steel or technical plastic), in direct contact with damp soil, that really determines how long the box lasts.
